The richness Berlin offers as a city of sport is demonstrated not only in its six professional teams – 1. FC Union Berlin, Hertha BSC, Alba Berlin, Eisbären Berlin and Berlin Rercycling Volleys. Every year, around 21,500 people in Berlin receive a cancer diagnosis. The Berlin Cancer Association (Berliner Krebsgesellschaft e.V.) provides quality-assured support and counselling in several languages for those affected and their relatives. We promote peer support groups, cancer prevention and innovative cancer research. Competence development on the topic of cancer is an important concern for us. A cancer disease is usually associated with a decrease in income and increased expenses, e.g. for medication and healthy nutrition. That is why we support people with cancer in Berlin who have fallen on hard times due to their disease through our hardship fund. By donating to the Berliner Krebsgesellschaft e.V. you give hope and confidence to those affected, because as a non-profit association we finance a large part of our work from donations and legacies.

It all started in 2013 with the Cross Days, probably our most challenging event in terms of photography. In 2018, we took a huge step forward together when we also entrusted the photo service of our two biggest events, the GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON and the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON, to Sportographers. We were not disappointed. On the contrary: the Sportographers are competent and creative, they think with us and they are quick. By the way, it is also great fun to work with them, because the team is made up of very likeable people. Other events such as the KoRo Women's Run Berlin, the GENERALI VeloCity Berlin and the adidas Runners City Night have been added recently. We are looking forward to a successful cooperation and implementing many exciting ideas in the coming years.
